Before coming to financial planning, I enjoyed a varied career in nonprofit, insurance, and public accounting. I first experienced the satisfaction of working with individuals and families during my time in the nonprofit world. Though my finance and accounting roles I learned the impact of money in our lives. Along the way I was introduced to the fiduciary concept and how Certified Financial Planners adhere to this standard. I became motivated to pursue a career in financial planning that would enable me to make a positive impact on the financial lives of individuals and families. I thus enrolled the Masters of Financial Planning program at Golden Gate University early this year, and my role as a Paraplanner at HC Financial is a wonderful opportunity to get hands on experience with a team of outstanding professionals. When my head is not buried in the school work, I enjoy reading on an eclectic range of topics, going to the movies, and working out!
