As soon as I learned what a budget was, I made one for myself and any friend who would let me make one for them. But I didn’t realize that I could have a career helping people with finances until it was too late... I was about to graduate with a degree in Accounting, and I had already accepted a position as a tax accountant at Ernst & Young. But that didn’t stop me. I got the best experience I could and when it was time, I packed my bags and moved to Lubbock, Texas to study Personal Financial Planning at Texas Tech. My life has been much better ever since!
When I’m not talking about, thinking about, or making a plan for someone else’s money, I love to be in nature. Backpacking is my favorite way to disconnect from the world, and reconnect with myself. I love to run, and recently decided to add CrossFit to the mix for a few months, so we’ll see how that goes. One of my favorite jokes used to be, “How do you know if someone does CrossFit? They’ll tell you.” Don’t you hate it when you realize you’ve become the person you used to make fun of?
